On the Ninth Day of Christmas ...

Grammy & Paca arrived!! We spent the morning awaiting their arrival, spent the afternoon lounging with them, playing games, wrestling, and laughing. At one point Brinley was playing Angry Birds on Grammy's iPod, Ashton was playing Angry Birds on Aunt Kris' phone, and Kendyl was playing on KidZui with Grammy ... what a bunch of techies!

The afternoon brought grocery shopping ... for lots of groceries. We haven't really done more than milk and bread runs since the kitchen disaster - we've been using our food storage, eating out, making sandwiches, eating cereal, or anything else that required few dishes and pans. Today was the day to stock up on a few more things, replenish our cereal supply, and grab what we needed for the bakefest that will be going on the next few days.

Then it was time to get ready for our Bishopric party! We are lucky that Steve serves with such amazing men in the bishopric. We've gotten together a few times now and it's always such a treat!! We eat well, laugh hard, and truly enjoy each other's company. Tonight we had amazing soup, salad, rolls, desserts, and a hot chocolate bar. We even got to eat outside {yes, on December 21st ... with the rain} by candlelight surrounded by fresh greenery. It was lovely and we had a great time!

The night wouldn't have been complete without a white elephant exchange. There were some great gifts that we laughed really hard about (no pics, sorry) but here's what we came home with ... wonder what the kids will think in the morning? No name just yet - hoping it lives long enough to even decide on one!!

Isn't Angry Birds the BEST!? When we were at Nat's for Thanksgiving, we had all 3 kids playing on 2 iPhones and an iPad.

Jimmie was really confused the first time Sydney asked him for "Ain-wee bods" (we'd played in the car the previous day, but he wasn't there). He had no idea what she was talking about!
