Stampers Group

Finally some more stamp projects to share! Seems like between life and a hopeless addiction to digital art right now my stamping has taken more of a back seat. I'm glad that I have my stampers groups to keep me creating with my stamps ... even if it's only every other month :)

Stampers Group Projects

Well, I promised I'd get these posted this weekend, so here they are!! I've got stampers groups meetings again and we are doing 2 holiday projects this time. I love this time of year and coming up with projects that my stampers can recreate for their friends and family is not only challenging but very rewarding! I love when they say "I want to order everything I need to make those." Makes me feel like I've done a good job ... who doesn't like that feeling ;) I really love the way these projects turned out this year. They are fairly simple in design but the little details really make them special (in my "I designed them so I love them" opinion)!! I'm still learning to photograph 3-D items like these so if you have any tips I'd love them! I only have one OTT-Lite for now and the lightning in my craft room isn't really great, so they always seem to be a little darker than I'd like and have shadows haunting them. Maybe I should ask for a photo box and some additional lighting from Santa? Oh ... almost forgot ... he already brought me a camera!!! You still get the idea, right?! Hope you enjoy!

Yes, I am still a stamper

Many of you may wonder if I even stamp anymore since I haven't posted a single stamp project since I started my blogging adventure. Truth be told I am so obsessed with digiscrapping these days that when I take time to be creative that is what I tend to do (taking a 4 week class helps with that, too). I do still love stamping but after almost 7 years it has been so fun to try something new. It has also gotten to the point that stamping is never for me or "just for fun" anymore ... I am always creating for someone else. That can take the fun out of it at times - not complaining because I love to help other people learn new things and gain a love for the art of stamping. I was glad to be "forced" to stamp again last night ... creating projects for my stampers groups. You can tell by the pictures that I'm stuck in a color rut ... have to use Chocolate Chip on EVERYTHING these days ... just love it!! That along with a neutral (usually River Rock) and Groovy Guava seem to be my favorite, although I did shake it up a bit with Really Rust, too. The first card is actually one I did just for fun about a month ago and the other two are the projects my group members made today. Hope you like them!!
