Assignment #1

I started my Up & Running with Photoshop class yesterday and I am loving it!! If you have ever wanted to learn more about photo editing and digital scrapbooking you MUST take this class. The instructor is fabulous and the pacing of the videos is great. Most of the things we did in the first lesson were things I had done before but she gave great "shortcut" tips that are already making a huge difference in the way I put together layouts. I also learned a few tricks that I hadn't tried before :) I can hardly wait until our next lesson on Monday - is it really that far away? Luckily Jessica sends a daily e-mail with extra tips, freebies, and additional assignments. I may never get off my computer again between digiscrapping and blogging!! Here is my layout from assignment #1 and the same layout "changed up" a bit.

I wanted to capture the perfect shot of you to include in your birth announcements ... one that would show your bright eyes and big smile. I knew you would wear your shirt that said “You’re lookin’ at one CUTE Cougar” because we bought that shirt for you at the BYU Bookstore just a week after finding out we were finally having our sweet baby boy. After three beautiful girls your daddy would finally get to use his boy name - Cougar. I wasn’t a big fan of the name to begin with but now you couldn’t be anything else. I propped you up on the couch with a football to show your “sporty” side and started to snap away. A few pictures later you gave me exactly what I was looking for to send in your announcements. I was definitely looking at “One Cute Cougar.”
