Ashton's Big Day

Ashton has been waiting for over a week for her glasses to come in. We took her to the eye doctor (we know a GREAT one *wink*wink) before school started and her vision had gotten slightly worse since her exam last year. She was borderline for glasses last year so this didn't really come as a surprise. We spent a great deal of time searching for the perfect frames. I didn't really picture her in a black frame because she is so fair skinned and blonde, but when she put these on she fell in love - there would be no other option in her mind. What you can't tell in the pictures (because I turned them sepia) is they are backed in light blue which really sets off her beautiful blue eyes ... courtesy of her daddy :) We think she is absolutely darling in them and she thinks she's pretty cute, too! Now if we could just get her to stop playing with them, cleaning them, talking about them ....

Speaking from a gal that got her first pair of glasses at the young age of 5, "Asthon, you make those look good"! Really, really cute. Wish they'd had those frames when I was little..

Her glasses are very cute but the grin is what does it for me.

So cute! I love glasses on little kids...
...makes me realize I need to go get a new prescription and pair of frames. The ones I have now are pretty much lopsided on my face. Not so good for when I'm driving and trying to read street signs.
