Week 4 Assignment

I am in the final week of my Up & Running class ... I will be so sad when it is over. It has been such a wonderful experience. It has given me skills and confidence in my digital scrapbooking that I never expected. If you are the least bit interested in digiscrapping you really MUST take this class. Jessica has the most amazing ability to simplify and teach in a way that I can understand. I hope you aren't bored with seeing my "homework." I love having a place to share it!

In our assignment this week we got to cut lots of digital paper, convert a photo to sepia, use a .png alpha with text, uses many different lines to create text and distribute them horizontally, use more brushes, and cut out an element and add a drop shadow. So much fun stuff to learn!!! I'm sure most of that is mumbo jumbo to you but it helps me to remember the skills when I write them down. I dug into the archives and scrapped one of my bridal portraits. We've been married over 10 years now and this is the first wedding photo I've done anything with ... pretty pathetic, huh? Bummer is that now I'll have to scan all of them in if I ever want to get them done - same with all of my pics from Brinley's birth to about 3 years old!! Her book may never get done ;)

Journaling reads: The weather in Utah can be fairly unpredictable - especially in February. I was thrilled to have perfect weather the day I took my bridal portraits. The morning was cool and sunny and made me feel beautiful.

I love it... this is probably my favorite so far. I love the coloring and different patterns and little embellishments used.

You are definitely getting the hang of digital scrap booking. By the way... where the heck was I when you got married? Was I there? I had to of been. I think I went with Jimmie and KC. I can’t even remember that far back.

Such a beautiful layout. I too, wish that I had been there and not in freezing Michigan!

What a neat picture of you with the snow, very pretty! And you are really doing good at scrapbooking. I am starting to think that I need to get into it so that my kids will actually have a scrapbook someday!

I totally remember this day! It was SO cold, but you didn't care. You were so excited. What a beautiful bride!

I still have my bridesmaid's dress and I think of your wedding every time I see it.

Cute layout, too!
